PSI Somaliland is one of our innovative network members working with the commercial sector in reproductive health, diarrhea prevention & treatment, fever case management, and childhood nutrition. The team focuses on the estimated 60% of women who use the private sector for their first line of health solutions. Using market and behavioral data PSI Somaliland develops marketing plans to increase demand for and access to quality health
products and services in the private sector, including through franchising of private health facilities.
We are looking for a Business Officer who will be tasked with the provision of business support/advice to PSI’s SFN franchisees to best enable them to grow their health practice.
This role will focus on the coordination of processes related to rollout and franchisee membership (recruitment), monitoring of specific metrics, provision of customized business advice, and business skills trainings for health providers. The Business Officer will have substantial responsibility, reporting directly to the Business Manager of the Social Franchise Network (SFN).

Your contribution
You will:
- Recruit eligible facilities into the franchise
- Work with franchisees to scale-up their services
- Build providers business and entrepreneurial skills through business training and
ongoing mentorship/supportive supervision
- Provide customized business advice by franchisee, assist them in developing
actionable growth plans
- Conduct analyses, monitor & evaluate franchisee metrics.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an exceptional individual with enough personal organization and
attention to detail to seamlessly monitor and analyze franchisee portfolios to promote
the success of the franchise model.
We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds but expect the following:
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurial or other businessrelated
field. Additional qualification/diploma in Project Management, Business
Management or Finance is an added advantage
- At least 3 years’ working experience in a business-related field. Experience in
Health services delivery an added advantage
- Excellent communication skills and analytical abilities, presented in an insightful,
structured way
- Willingness to travel within the country as required in the course of duty
- Team player with unwavering professionalism
- Excitement, passion and fire in the belly, combined with a willingness to roll up
your sleeves and get things done
