Hargeisa(Horn) – Following the recent announcement by the National Election Commission -NEC that Somaliland Parliamentary elections shall not be held as slated in December 2019 the countries two major political parties are in Dialogue.

Speaking in Hargeisa a senior Opposition Wadani party official member of parliament  Hussein Ahmed Aideed informed Star tv that they are holding talks with the ruling Kulmiye party in pursuit of ending the elections deadlock

A very discernible absence at the talks was the second Somalilamd Oppostion party UCID which is led by Eng Feisal Ali Warabe “Though UCID was absent we are all in agreement that whatever is decided shall hold for the three national political parties” said MP Aideed

Revealing that the three national political parties are seriously intent on clearing the deadlock denying holding of the long overdue elections,  now running thirteen years, the Wadani party official said discussions will continue until a solution is reached.

At the same time the deputy Kulmiye party chief Ahmed Abdi Dheere also echoed similar sentiments by his opposite number at Wadani.
