Construction of the “First Floor” of the Warehouse building

SRCS Somaliland New Coordination Compound – Hargeisa

SRCS Somaliland is implementing a construction project to build a “First Floor” of the existing Warehouse Building in Maqaaxida Inanta area with the support of Canadian Red Cross, Icelandic Red Cross, Finnish Red Cross, SRCS and ICRC. The project will be “Construction of 49m x 16.2 m First Floor” on the top of the existing Warehouse building.

Specific Work to be done includes Mobilization, RC Columns work, Walling & Masonry work, RC tie beam work, staircase work, RC slab work, toilets, septic tank and plumbing work, electrical work, floor tile work, doors & windows work and paint work. Therefore, we are hereby seeking bid proposals from qualified, government-authorized and/or recognized construction companies/firms to submit their Bid proposals for above mentioned construction work.

The eligibility of the bidders includes:

• Proven track record and technical expertise in dealing with rehabilitation and construction projects,
• Should be registered and possess valid licenses per the law of Somaliland to carry out the rehabilitation and construction (new

Qualified construction companies or firms are invited to obtain further information from SRCS Somaliland, Bid Award Committee (BAC) and collect bidding documents from the SRCS Coordination office from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm beginning from Saturday 22^nd March 2025 to Saturday 29^th March 2025. The SRCS shall not take any responsibility for any expense incurred to bidders in connection with the bid preparation.

Bidders are strongly advised to study the provided bid documents carefully and prepare a realistic and comprehensive bid. Bidders should fulfill all requirements specified in the bid document and should comply with the specified terms and conditions. To facilitate the bidding process, the SRCS shall be holding a pre-bidding meeting on Saturday 29^th March 2024, from 9 am to 10 am at the Coordination office. Interested bidders are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Bid Submission: A complete bid proposal well labeled as “Atten: Tender Committee – SRCS Somaliland for Construction of First Floor of the Warehouse building at New Coordination Compound” and Bidder name on the top of the envelop, should be dropped at the Tender box located at the Security room of the SRCS Somaliland Coordination office, Hargeisa no later than 12:00 noon on Saturday 5^th April 2025. Unsealed and bids received after the submission deadline shall be rejected. Therefore, bidders are encouraged to submit their bids on time and in accordance with the instructions provided in the Bid document.

NB: SRCS reserves the right not to consider the lowest bidder or any of the bids that do not comply with bid requirements. All potential bidders should provide valid legal documents.

(Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after the deadline of submission)
